Post image for Obama has Beatles on his Blackberry

The Beatles released a song, “Hello, goodbye”, in 1967 that topped the music charts in both Britain and United States.

“You say yes, I say no
You say stop and I say go, go, go
Oh, no
You say goodbye and I say hello
Hello, hello
I don’t know why you say goodbye
I say hello”

Our President must have this song on his Blackberry because his eternal optimism for bipartisan healthcare reform is something reminiscent of the 1960s love affair with a utopian society for America.

After meeting with Capitol Hill leaders from both parties he said he was open to Republican ideas on healthcare reform.

President Obama stressed he was open to Republican ideas; as long as they address goals contained in Democratic plans already passed, and extend healthcare coverage to most Americans and lower the cost of healthcare.

Sounds like a reasonable idea, bipartisan support for healthcare reform?

“Let’s put the best ideas on the table,” Obama said.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., immediately called on Obama to scrap the House and Senate plans prior to a bipartisan health care summit set for Feb. 25.

While there are issues the parties won’t agree on, Obama said, there are also areas of mutual interest, and he called the meeting a success.

“You say No, I say success.
You say stop and I say go, go, go
Oh, no
I don’t know why you say No
I say success. “

Excuse me Mr. President; I do not consider Mitch McConnell’s response on behalf of the minority party [Republican] an olive branch to bipartisan success in healthcare reform.

Take out the ear plugs Sir, the scraping of passed legislation means No, no, no.
